Wander X Middlechild
Epic GFX
Middlechild Productions is known for creating compelling factual content that tackles pressing social issues. For two major documentaries- Jordan North: The Truth About Vaping (BBC Three) and Snus: Hooked on Nicotine (Channel 4)- Middlechild needed engaging, informative, and visually compelling graphics to enhance storytelling, simplify complex information, and ensure clarity for audiences.
To achieve this, Middlechild partnered with Wander Films, specialists in bold, disruptive visual content. Following the success of these projects, Wander is now in production for a third collaboration- a yet-to-be-announced documentary.

The documentaries required:
- Clear Visualisation of Complex Data – Presenting statistics and research findings in a way that was both accurate and engaging.
- Enhanced Audience Understanding – Illustrating the health effects and societal impact of vaping and nicotine pouches.
- A Strong Visual Identity – Ensuring that the graphics aligned with the overall tone of each documentary while adhering to BBC Three and Channel 4’s brand guidelines.

INTEGRATION & REFINEMENT
- Seamless Editing – Worked closely with Middlechild’s editors to ensure smooth integration of motion graphics into the final film.
- Iterative Refinement – Responded to feedback, fine-tuning the graphics to meet the highest standards.
RESULTS.
- Enhanced Audience Engagement – Dynamic motion graphics helped simplify complex topics, making the information more accessible.
- Stronger Narrative Clarity – The use of engaging visuals allowed viewers to grasp key points quickly and effectively.
- Critical & Public Recognition – Both documentaries were widely discussed and praised for their investigative depth, with the graphics playing a crucial role in storytelling.
- Ongoing Collaboration – Following the success of these projects, Wander Films is now in production for a third documentary with Middlechild.
